Jorma Kaukonen And Vital Parts live at the "Rockpalast"

Jorma Kaukonen founded JEFFERSON AIRPLANE together with Paul Kantner and Marty Balin and has been quoted as saying that the band name was based on his own nickname, Blind Lemon Jefferson. Parallel to his membership with Jeffson Airplane, Jorma founded his his own band, Hot Tuna, with he tours to this day.  He has always been more interested in blues and American roots music (blue grass) than in rock, which led him to move to California where he accompanied JANIS JOPLIN, among others, on guitar at her first minor shows in bars and small clubs.

This Rockpalast show took place on November 29, 1980 at the Kleine Westfalenhalle in Dortmund, Germany. Jorma Kaukonen has been inducted into the Rock'n'Roll Hall Of Fame.
