Finding Deep Blues: Electric Guitar
Levels 2/3
Bob Margolin shares his experience with blues music and relates it to his individual students, informed by his seven years with Muddy Waters' band and twenty-nine years leading his own blues band. This workshop is geared at guitar players who know at least the basic chords and are comfortable putting them together to play a song. This class is aimed to deepen their blues playing, and will inspire anyone interested in how soulful blues music works its mojo. Using live and recorded versions of deep blues to intrigue and stimulate, the class's interests and preferences will then direct the instructional path. This class mixes history, guitar technique, and how instruments function separately and together.
